Cookies and local storage.
How browser storage supports sign-in and the platform’s interactive features.
Draft for review · 29 October 2026A production inventory of cookie names, storage keys, providers, purposes and expiry periods remains to be confirmed. This document must be completed and reviewed before public launch.
Sign-in and security
The authentication system uses cookies to recognise signed-in sessions and support account security. Blocking or clearing these cookies can sign you out or prevent protected features from working.
Browser storage
Some interactive features may keep local state in your browser. This is separate from campaign and pledge records saved to the platform. Clearing browser storage does not itself delete your platform account or reverse a donation.
Other services
Broker connection and donation checkout may open third-party websites. Their cookies and storage are covered by their own policies. Optional PostHog analytics records page visits and campaign setup steps after you choose Allow analytics. It uses local storage to recognise returning browsers. You can decline or change your choice using Analytics preferences at the bottom of the page.
Your analytics preference is stored as tfc:analytics-consent:v1. Declining stops browser analytics; it does not prevent essential sign-in or campaign features.
Your browser controls
You can inspect, block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Contact us if you need help understanding storage used by this platform.
